The Road So Far - 1950 Ford Tudor

It’s been a while (and I really do mean a while!) since I shot something purely for myself. I think it’s not just lack of free time that was stopping me from going out and pointing my lens at things. Somewhere deep inside, I knew my motivation levels weren’t as high as they used to be but I was really itching to pick up my camera and do something about it, you know?

I’ve been itching to photograph a classic car for some time now and as luck would have it, a friend of a friend is currently working on restoring one of his own! What a perfect opportunity to take out my little camera for a spin! I went ahead and got in touch with the car owner, Tim, who was up for me snapping some pictures of his 1950 Ford Tudor in Palisade Green before its restore was completed. Built in Kansas City plant and originally sold in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Spent most of its life in Gallup New Mexico before finally being imported to the UK from Arizona in 2017. Fitted with a Flathead V8 Engine (8ba), 3 Speed Manual Overdrive Transmission and 4.11 Rear Axle.

Can’t wait for this one to be ready to roll so we can take some more pictures with the engine running! Enough talking, let us see some pictures, aye? Well then, buckle up!

Side note - I get the impression that I’m not the only person struggling with motivation these days even though I’m normally a very get-up-and-go kind of person! I’m sure most of us are guilty of not making enough time for ourselves and our favourite activities outside of work. I get it. We all want to earn money, save up and advance our careers but let’s face it - looking after our mental health is just as important. Go for that walk or drive you’ve been meaning to take. See some friends or make new friends because human interaction is definitely not overrated! Do something for yourself. Something that will make you happy and rest your mind.

Until next time.
